Employee Spotlight: Riccardo Riso

His task is, in collaboration with the performance team and the plant teams, to analyse existing processes, understand which steps can be improved, and then structure plans to implement the identified improvements. 

“Optimising processes means getting to the heart of daily activities and understanding them thoroughly, breaking down barriers between departments, involving colleagues and questioning everything. Only with a shared vision and in-depth analysis can we go beyond what we take for granted and dedicate ourselves to projects that really make a difference,” Riccardo Riso describes his job. It is a long and complex job, which sometimes requires diving into operational details with the plant and group experts – as this is the only way to identify and solve weaknesses without compromising overall efficiency – but at the same time requires an end-to-end view of the entire production and related processes.

Thanks to his work and the cross-functional collaboration of the teams, the PIP program has improved Vetropack’s overall performance and consolidated best practices throughout the Group, confirming Riccardo's commitment to excellence.

Beyond the professional aspects, Riccardo Riso is passionate about social psychology and a practitioner of Vipassana meditation as he is convinced that both psychology and meditation help him face challenges with greater balance and awareness.

His goal is clear in all challenges: “My goal is to help teams work more simply and effectively, so that every effort contributes to providing more value for customers and for all Vetropack colleagues; whether we are working on raw materials, moulds, machine speeds, packaging optimisation, efficient use of energy or any other area, we are always looking for better standards that will make us a more competitive company to work with every day” he summarises.
