Employee Spotlight: Laura-Maria Veneziani
"I can still remember when I started my office apprenticeship in May 1985," says sales representative Laura-Maria Veneziani. Together with her identical twin sister Rossana, she applied for a job at Vetropack in Bülach and, to their delight, both were accepted. "Vetropack was already considered an important and socially responsible employer," she recalls.
Even during her apprenticeship, Laura-Maria Veneziani appreciated the variety of tasks and this has not changed: "I look after Swiss key accounts in the three national languages, am responsible for product management and support the sales management and back office staff in Switzerland," she explains. She has also been involved in other areas of the company, such as the introduction of SAP in the IT department, where she was a key user for many years, and the integration of the product range in Italy.
She is the Swiss expert for Vetropack's range of wine, sparkling wine and spirits bottles. Over the years, she has worked closely with her colleagues in St-Prex, whose production and quality she has always appreciated. Following the closure of the St-Prex plant, it is important to look ahead and seize the opportunities that arise: "We have the opportunity to optimise our range, which is also a great opportunity for our customers," says Laura-Maria Veneziani. "We can now proactively prove to our customers that they have chosen the right partner in us.
She is certain that she has chosen the right employer: "I always feel that my opinion is valued and that I can contribute in many areas, such as the Network Group*. I'm also fascinated by the unpredictability of the job. Even after 39 years, it never gets boring."
*The Network Group is a Vetropack working group in which all departments and business units at the Bülachs site are represented by one member. It organises various events and supports employees in unusual situations.
