Employee Spotlight: Juraj Golej
Juraj Golej joined Vetropack in 2016, with a background in ecology and environmental science. "I joined Vetropack, because I always wanted to work in Environment, that was always my goal. And as a manufacturer Vetropack is doing very well in the field of the environment, we are one of the responsible companies," says Juraj Golej, environmental engineer at Vetropack Nemšová.
The environmental engineer appreciates the diversity of his work, which is far from monotonous. His responsibilities encompass everything related to the environment: waste management, water, air quality and carbon footprint.
Apart from routine tasks, Juraj Golej works on so-called life cycle assessments (LCA). These are a valuable tool for Vetropack to identify the environmental impacts of our products, including their carbon footprint. "The ever-evolving environmental challenges require continuous learning and skill development", Juraj Golej emphasizes.
He is passionate about environmental issues and supports Vetropack’s commitment to the Science Based Targets. As part of the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), Vetropack has submitted in April 2024 its targets for reducing CO2 emissions.
