Measures for increasing the energy efficiency and use of renewable energy sources in the electric power installations at the company Vetropack Straža tvornica stakla d.d.
15.01.2019: Vetropack Straža tvornica stakla d.d. is implementing the project: "Measures to increase energy efficiency and use of renewable energy sources in electric power installations at Vetropack Straža tvornica stakla d.d." The project is being implemented under the perational Program Competitiveness and Cohesion 2014 – 2020, the "Increasing Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy Utilisation in Manufacturing Industries" competition and is co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund. The Grant Agreement was signed on 18.06.2018.
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Inefficient use of energy and a small share of the utilization of renewable energy sources have been identified by the OPCC as specific developmental problems of the Croatian economy. Following the energy inspection of Vetropack Straža d.d., this was also recognised as a developmental problem of a society that needs to be adequately addressed in order to achieve energy savings, environmental and community benefits and consequently raise competitiveness by lowering costs (Report on Energy Inspection of a Large Enterprise, No. Po-08/2016-IOEP001/2016). To this end, the company will implement the project "Measures to increase energy efficiency and the use of renewable energy sources in electric power installations at Vetropack Straža tvornica stakla d.d.“
OBJECTIVES AND EXPECTED PROJECT RESULTS
General Purpose: To support energy savings by increasing the efficiency of energy use in manufacturing industries, allowing for equal outcomes by using less input energy and reducing the share of conventional (fossil) fuels in total energy consumption by introducing renewable energy sources.
Specific objective: Implementing the EU and RSE measures to reduce the consumption of the energy supplied and increase the share of renewable energy sources in total energy consumption

EP1 Preparation of project technical documentation for the project proposal
EP2 Energy efficiency and renewable sources of energy in manufacturing plants
EP3 Energy renovation of buildings
EP4 Promotion and visibility
EP5 Project Management and Administration
SUCCESSFUL IMPLEMENTATION OF THE PROJECT WILL ALLOW FOR THE FOLLOWING RESULTS:
R1 Successfully application with the project proposal
R2 Successfully implemented measures for energy efficiency and renewable energy sources in manufacturing plants
R3 Energy-renovated building
R4 Increased project visibility and visibility of services and products of the Applicant.
R5 Project successfully completed
Total value of the project: HRK 25,407,441.24
Grant: HRK 12,050,166.78
Project implementation period: 01.01.2014 – 31.12.2020
