Ad hoc announcement pursuant to Art. 53 LR – Urs Ryffel is elected to the Board of Directors

26.04.2024: Urs Ryffel was elected to the Board of Directors of Vetropack Holding Ltd at the annual General Assembly on 25 April 2024.

Urs Ryffel was elected to the Board of Directors of the Vetropack Holding after being put forward as a candidate in November last year. His predecessor Urs Kaufmann did not stand for re-election at his own request. The 56-year-old Ryffel now assumes his new position with many years of industrial experience and expertise in managing international companies. “We are delighted to have found a colleague in Urs Ryffel who will ideally complement the Board of Directors,” says Claude R. Cornaz, Chairman of the Board of Directors.

After starting his career as project manager at ABB Kraftwerke AG, he presided over the global business unit Hydro Power Plant Service. He worked as Unit General Manager for Alstom Power Portugal S.A. in Lisbon from 1999 to 2001 and for Alstom Power Hydraulique S.A. in Paris from 2001 to 2002. In 2002, he joined HUBER+SUHNER AG, initially as Business Unit Manager. Since 2017, he has been leading the Group as CEO.
